Beauty

Beauty

Is a little 8 year old girl that came into our care after her owner sadly passed away.. she was found with them.

Beauty enjoys her daily walks and becomes very excited at the sight of her leash. She requires some ongoing training on the leash, especially when encountering other dogs, but there has been notable improvement. She is not fond of cats. She handles her food and evening treats well and is quite intelligent. Once trust is established, she becomes affectionate and enjoys ear rubs from her trusted human, even nudging with her paws for more.

She is house trained, vaccinated and neutered

My Story

Beauty had spent seven years, her entire life, with her beloved human. But one tragic day, she couldn't rouse them. She tried kisses, barks, and even brought toys, but to no avail. Her human remained still, never to be warm again.
Beauty stayed by the side of her departed love, crying in vain.
For the first time, Beauty was utterly alone. The hands that once caressed her were motionless. The voice that had sung to her was silent. The heart that had synchronized with hers had ceased to beat.
Through the cycle of days and nights, Beauty remained with her love, consumed by hunger, heartache, and fear.

My Rescue

At last, other humans arrived and took her beloved away. Beauty never laid eyes on them again. Different humans attempted to tend to her, yet they were not her person. They were unfamiliar with her songs, her quirks, her daily patterns. Despite their efforts, Beauty, deeply traumatised, occasionally reacted with aggression.

My Recovery

As time passes, Beauty gains understanding, learns, and comes to accept. She yearns for devoted companionship, yet she harbours doubts that it will ever come.
Beauty is a good dog. She revels in play and cherishes cuddles. Her world was once only her and her human, who was everything to her.  Beauty seeks a human who will be her entire world - in exchange, she will be the most loyal little dog in the cosmos.
There is someone out there with a broken heart who needs a faithful dog with a broken heart, and together, they will do more than heal—they will flourish.

My New Home

She was only ever used to her owner so would be most suited to a single person or a confident couple who are experienced with rescue dogs. New situations and people stress her and she has displayed some behavioural issues (growling/snapping) which have vastly improved in foster care over time, with behavioural guidance. New people just need to give her time & be very patient and understanding.

We would prefer no children and no other dogs.

Thanks to @Filosboxoflove and Fabulous Filo and her fantastic friends for beauty's story.
